EMPIRE
The page that has the Magniers, Maktoums and McManuses* shaking in their boots (?) plus could do with being a bit better organised.

* or should it be McManusii

LATEST RESULTS & NEWS

Two weeks down the line and they both return to Plumpton. Pete's Choice was in a ridiculously hot race by Plumpton standards (the horse that finished fourth in the Champion Bumper could not manage a place) so we were happy with the manner he ran in defeat. Brother Bennett was less glorious, cruising through the first mile and a bit and then finding when the pace built up. He really needs a 0-100 chase where he can pop around in his comfort zone and deliver one run over the last few hundred metres. Like the staying novice hurdles for Pete, those races all seem to be in the north at the moment.

THE PAST EMPIRE
BROTHER BENNETT

176 runs, 1 win, 4 places. Yet again a 5% investment on a young hurdler that looks to be on a workable mark (104) and has a bit of substance to him which would give hope to him proving the old cliché of "will make an even better chaser."
Description
MEGABLUE - One pointing run, pulled up, and then lots of leg injuries
GEORGIESHORE - Two wins, a bunch of places and a whole lot of fun when racing was borderline waterlogged
Ididandididn't - One very promising place, no wins and a premature retirement thanks to injury
Description
ELEGANT OLIVE - 44 runs, 4 wins, 1 second, 9 thirds, all wins at Huntingdon. Definitely the Empress of this thing so far
Description
DID YOU EVER - 15 runs, 1 wins, 3 places, all in point-to-points
Description
DE WAITING GAME - 8 runs, 1 wins, 1 place (the win being a point-to-point dead heat)

PETE'S CHOICE

3 runs, 0 places. A new addition as of June 2018, not intended to run until the autumn. He did not do much in two Irish point runs, but the yard was under a cloud at the time and he hopefully has plenty of improvement on the way.
